Some stories stay with you long after you've packed up your camera. Stanfer and Katherine's surprise proposal is one of those stories for me.
From the moment Stanfer shared his plan, I could feel how much thought and love had gone into every little detail. Behind the excitement, there were also nerves—the kind that only come when you're about to ask the most important question of your life. Watching him wait for Katherine, trying to stay calm while we quietly documented everything, was a moment I'll never forget.
Then came the moment.
As Katherine realized what was happening, her expression changed from confusion to surprise, and then to overwhelming joy. The tears that followed weren't just happy tears—they were years of love, trust, memories, and dreams finding their way out all at once. When Stanfer got down on one knee, nothing else seemed to matter. For a few minutes, it felt like the world had gone silent, and all that existed was the two of them.
As photographers, we're often focused on light, composition, and timing. But moments like these remind me that the most beautiful photographs aren't created by perfect lighting—they're created by real emotions. Every frame we captured carried something genuine: the trembling smile, the tear-filled eyes, the laughter that followed, and the quiet embrace that said more than words ever could.
Being trusted to witness such an intimate chapter in Stanfer and Katherine's story was an honour I'll always be grateful for. Their love wasn't just something we photographed—it was something we felt while standing behind the lens.
Some moments are impossible to recreate. They happen once, and they're gone in a heartbeat. That's why I love what I do—because sometimes, I get the privilege of turning those heartbeats into memories that will last a lifetime.
Congratulations, Stanfer and Katherine. Thank you for letting us be a small part of such a beautiful beginning.

Chosen for life.
